Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy

Ketamine is a medication that has been safely used in medical settings for decades. While it was originally developed as an anesthetic, it’s now being recognized for something more:
its ability to ease emotional pain and support mental wellness in a new way.
In low, carefully guided doses, ketamine can help quiet the noise of depression, anxiety, and trauma—creating space for new insights and emotional relief. But the medicine is just one part of the journey.
When combined with the safety and support of a KAP trained therapist, ketamine becomes more than just a treatment—it becomes a powerful tool for healing. This is where Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy begins.

What is Ketamine?
What is Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy?
Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP) is a powerful, evidence-based treatment combining the neurochemical effects of ketamine with the guidance of integrative psychotherapy. This therapy is especially effective for individuals experiencing:

-
Treatment-resistant depression
-
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
-
Chronic anxiety and dissociation
-
Emotional numbing or shutdown
Unlike traditional talk therapy, Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy allows clients to access deeper layers of the mind and body, often accelerating insight, emotional release, and long-term healing.
Clinical research from Yale and MAPS reports that up to 70% of individuals show significant reduction in depression symptoms within just 2–4 Ketamine Assisted Therapy sessions.*

-
A feeling of ease and guidance from past trauma

A sense of emotional awakening or clarity
-
Heightened creativity or memory recall
-
Deep introspection and new awareness for internal healing.
These experiences are gentle but profound, and Integration is essential. Our sessions will guide you in anchoring the insights into real-life behavior change, self-acceptance, and nervous system regulation.
Many clients describe KAP as "months of therapy in one session"—not because the work is rushed, but because your mind is more open to healing.

Our Role in Your Journey
At Blūm Integrative Psychotherapy, we honor each individual’s healing journey. Our role is to hold space, integrate, and empower—without promoting or facilitating access to substances.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes. Ketamine is administered under medical supervision. Your psychological care is always led by a licensed, trauma-informed clinician.
During ketamine-assisted psychotherapy, many clients experience dissociation or an altered state of consciousness—often described as floating, vivid dreaming, or feeling outside the body. These temporary effects are a key part of how ketamine therapy supports mental health treatment, helping to disrupt stuck patterns and promote healing. At Blūm Integrative Psychotherapy, we combine medical insight with compassionate care, offering structured preparation, therapeutic support, and integration to make your ketamine sessions safe, supported, and transformative.
If you’ve tried traditional therapy or medication with limited success, KAP may be an excellent next step. Our consultation helps determine your readiness.
At this time, ketamine-assisted therapy is not covered by insurance. Out-of-pocket care allows for personalized, extended sessions without insurance limits—offering a safe, private, and research-informed healing experience in collaboration with trusted medical professionals.
Integration helps you process what surfaced during your session. It's where the insight becomes transformation—and it's essential for lasting impact.

Ready to explore a deeper level of healing?
We Hope You Understand.
This is Important
At Blūm Integrative Psychotherapy, transparency and respect are central to how we work with every client. To honor the time and preparation that goes into each KAP service, we ask that you review the following carefully:
-
Blūm does not prescribe or administer ketamine. We provide the therapeutic guidance and integration component in collaboration with your prescribing medical provider.
-
Because some clients request KAP services and later cancel after approval once they realize ketamine is not prescribed here, a $150 administrative service charge applies to cancellations made after clinical approval and booking. This covers the clinician’s review time and administrative processing already invested.
-
Cancellation Policy: Appointments must be canceled or rescheduled at least 24 hours in advance. No-shows or cancellations within 24 hours will result in forfeiting the full session fee.
We share this openly to protect both your time and ours, ensuring every space reserved at Blūm is available for those ready to begin their healing journey.
